Magic!
It's Mystical beyond imagination!

The Concept:
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
A real-time harry potter simulation intended to provide the user with a joyous experience of performing magic spells and dueling with an opposite person. The 2 users will be able to battle together by wearing the VR headset and the custom made jackets with the help of magic wands(magic sticks). The jackets are designed such that the user will feel the vibration when a spell is cast on him/her, and the VR headset will display the spell animations in augmented reality mode.Â
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The project consists of 2 wands,2 jackets, and an android app. The spells are performed by the help of gestures. And for gesture recognition, we have used the accelerometer sensor and $1 recognizer algorithm. The android app is made in unity and for AR we have used the Vuforia engine for unity. The jackets are outfitted with 8 vibrational motors which are controlled using L298N motor drivers. The connection between the jacket and the wand is done with the help of Bluetooth. The wand and the app is connected over wifi through the socket using a TCP protocol.

Our Background
We are a bunch of dedicated freshers at IIIT Delhi. We are young minds who desire in turning what we imagine into reality, through different modes of technology, This optimistic mindset became a driving force for the success of our project. It is a work in the field of interactive art installation, a part of our Major Project, Prototyping Interactive Systems, which only got possible under the mentorship of Dr. Aman Parnami.
